Who are we?
WeatherCast Solutions Pvt. Ltd. is a startup incorporated in May 2022 — a cross-functional team from diverse backgrounds in meteorology, fluid dynamics, machine intelligence, data analytics, and environmental engineering, focussed on a tech-driven hybrid model for reliable weather updates.
What matters to us?
Climate and weather prediction and timely dissemination of information is complex but necessary. Life matters, livestock matters, the environment matters. With actionable weather reports and at least 30–40% better forecasts, we hope to make a tangible impact on businesses disrupted by extreme weather.
What we do?
Acute lack of reliable information on varied spatio-temporal scales disrupts weather-dependent businesses. By combining process modeling, data-analytics, and machine learning, we provide precise short-range and impact-based forecasts, plus weather warnings that help plan operations and prevent losses.

Sridhar Balasubramanian
Co-Founder
Prof. Sridhar Balasubramanian is a leading expert in weather and climate analysis, modelling, and data-driven forecasting, with more than 20 years of experience in fluid mechanics and geophysical flows. He is a Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering and the Interdisciplinary Programme in Climate Studies at IIT Bombay.
After earning his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Arizona State University, he worked as a scientist at Los Alamos National Laboratory, New Mexico, developing deep expertise in ocean–atmosphere dynamics.
He is widely recognized for his weather advisories and climate insights, followed by thousands on social media, and regularly contributes as a guest author to The Weather Channel, India.
Swetha M Sridhar
Co-Founder & CEO
Ms. Swetha holds an M.S. in Environmental Engineering from the University of North Carolina, and is co-founder of WeatherCast Solutions.
She brings over 12 years of rich industry experience, with strong knowledge in environmental engineering and project management.
Her technical and managerial expertise drives business development and customer relations at WeatherCast.
